Buying
Launch and license
When can I buy it? ›
Sales are not open yet. The commercial build opens only after local release acceptance and operator launch approval.
What will it cost? ›
The planned individual subscription includes a 14-day card-required trial, then $20/month or $200/year, or €20/month or €200/year, plus applicable tax. AI-provider subscriptions and API usage are separate.
What happens if I cancel or a payment fails? ›
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Failed renewals receive a seven-day warning grace. After access expires, CrazyToad becomes read-only so you can view history, manage billing, and export data; security-only updates remain available.
How do I report a bug or request a feature? ›
Raise an account-scoped ticket in the app or web portal. Support is best effort with no guaranteed response or delivery time.
Setup & providers
Install, models, servers
What OS does it run on? ›
Windows is the launch target.
Is this the same as Claude Code? ›
No. A single CLI is one worker; CrazyToad is the coordinating brain that runs many workers in parallel.
Do I need separate AI subscriptions or API keys? ›
Yes. CrazyToad does not include AI compute. It coordinates the provider subscriptions, API keys, CLI logins, and local models you configure.
Can it use local models? ›
Yes. Local Ollama lanes live in Accounts and can be routed for jobs that fit.
Can I run agents on my own servers? ›
Yes. A one-line install turns your own Linux box into a hardened agent — confined to a workspace, non-root, behind a deny-list and a cost cap. Run it on as many of your own hosts as you like.

Local-first posture
Does CrazyToad send my code anywhere? ›
CrazyToad has no product-usage analytics. Code, prompts, and files stay local unless you deliberately send them through a configured AI provider, remote agent, support report, or other integration. The account service records commerce and entitlement reliability events, never your code or feature usage.
